Currently, over 80,000 children are in foster care due to parental addiction. Without access to affordable housing, transportation, job assistance, and family support, many parents in recovery remain trapped in an endless cycle of separation and despair.Second Chance Families Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families rebuild their lives after crisis. We serve individuals and families impacted by addiction, incarceration, homelessness, and other life-altering challenges that often tear families apart.

Our mission is to restore stability, dignity, and hope by providing pathways to safe housing, recovery support, life-skills development, and community reintegration. We believe that everyone deserves a second chance and that families are strongest when they have the resources and support needed to heal and move forward together.

Second Chance Families Project works to bridge the gap between crisis and stability by partnering with housing providers, community organizations, and service agencies to create real opportunities for long-term change. Through compassion, accountability, and practical support, we help individuals rebuild their lives while strengthening the families and communities around them.

At our core, we believe that past mistakes should not define a person’s future. With the right support system, families can recover, reconnect, and thrive.
